Samsung Bixby Can Interact with Popular Android Apps

Samsung finally released the English version of Bixby's smart virtual assistant for Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus owners in the United States. These features at once will be able to "interact" with a number of popular applications on Android.

Launched from Softpedia, Bixby has been integrated in depth to Android, so users can use it to access a number of applications commonly used everyday. The rows of apps include Google Maps, Google Play Music, Google Play Store, Gmail, YouTube, Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram, Tumblr, Pandora, Telp, and Uber.


Samsung has begun releasing Bixby updates for Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus through its mobile operator AT & T, Sprint, T-Mobile, U.S. Cellular, and Verizon. According to Samsung's information, Bixby's voice capabilities can also be used with other third-party applications available on Bixby Labs.

"When launched, users can access Bixby sound capabilities in a set of third-party applications via Bixby Labs, and with Bixby Labs, users can experiment on subsequent applications to experience the benefits Bixby offers," Samsung said in a written statement.


Samsung revealed, the use of Bixby quite easy. Users only need to press a special button or say "Hi, Bixby" to be able to use the virtual assistant.

The more Bixby used, the users will get point experience, which can be converted into Samsung Rewards points to get various prizes including Samsung products.
