"This is a great first year for GO Pokemon thanks to the spirit and dedication of the Global Trainer community," said Niantic CEO John Hanke, quoted from GSM Arena.
Keep in mind that Pokemon GO got past 500 million downloads in September last year, just a few months after its launch.
Pokémon GO game is now getting closer to its first birthday where Niantic plans to celebrate it by launching a variety of in-game and real-world activities.
"As part of our first anniversary, we will give players around the world the chance to have fun in the game, get together with friends and other Trainers on real world events, and more," Hanke said.
