Drone users in the UK are required to take exams to obtain licenses

Like most other countries the UK is starting to get upset with drones that fly and endanger its surroundings. Worse still drones are also used for criminal acts. The British government has prepared a policy that everyone who flies the drones must take the exam to get the license.

In addition a 250 gram weight drone should not fly near the airport area and should not fly over 400 feet or 121 meters. This policy will apply from 2018.

The British Airline Pilots' Association (BALPA) says that the number of crashes between drones and airplanes is increasing, although it has not really resulted in severe accidents.

In 2015, there are 29 accidents involving drones and aircraft, in 2016 there were 71 accidents and this year alone there have been 81 accidents. In July a drone flies near a plane that will land at London Gatwick Airport and endanger 130 lives.

The pilot and pilot drone trainer at HexCam said the regulation is correct. Drones weighing more than 250 grams instead of drones are not cheap drones and he is worried about their use for criminal acts.

In some countries including the UK found the use of drones abused to send narcotics goods. Worse still it was done to send to the jail cell window. Several prisons in the UK managed to record the event.

Most British authorities approve regulations that tighten the use of drones. This can help the police act and make decisions when the drones begin to endanger or be used for criminal purposes.
