Google Smart Speakers Can Show YouTube TV Directly

Google has announced an upgrade to the YouTube TV service, which is now supported by control via voice commands on Google Home and Google Home Mini. The search engine giant also confirmed that Google Home Max will soon receive similar features. However, this feature may only be used by users in any city in the United States covered by this YouTube TV service. To be able to take advantage of this service, users must subscribe first, at a cost of US $ 35 per month.

In order to use YouTube TV, users must set up Google Home and Chromecast, and open the Google Home app to connect the two. Then users can use voice control to access the YouTube TV program.

To use control capabilities via voice commands, users simply start with the "Ok Google" command, and instructs them to play the title of the desired TV show.

Through the voice command the user can also play, pause, rewind to 15 seconds before, activate the caption and advance to the next two minutes.


This new feature began to be available in all major cities in the United States of YouTube TV coverage location from 17 October. Until now, Google has not provided information regarding the availability of these services in more cities in the United States and other countries.

Through Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL, Google also introduced a new version of Pixel Launcher, with more animated support and better dock functionality.

In addition to the search bar that uses the dock and is not on the top of the homescreen, the presence of animated effects bounces when opening or scrolling the app drawer and widgets that allow viewing upcoming event information at a glance become a new thing that is carried by this launcher.
