US Will Prohibit Laptop on All International Flights
The US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is considering a ban on bringing laptops into aircraft cabins on all international flights, from and to the United States.

This was conveyed directly by the Minister of Homeland Security, John Kelly, on Sunday (5/28/2017) local time.

"I might do it," Kelly said, when asked if there were any plans to ban laptops in all international flights, from and to the United States.

He added that there was a real threat to flights from terrorists obsessed with the idea of "dropping aircraft in flight, especially US aircraft, especially those that are mostly US passengers." This is real, "he said.

Kelly also explains, the US will improve flight security standards, higher than the current one. Related to John's statement, the DHS party has not provided its official statement.

If this policy is enforced, it will further extend the restrictions that DHS implements in March 2017 to ban electronic goods larger than mobile phones into cabins on flights to the US, from airports to countries including the Middle East and Africa. The goods must be kept in the carrying baggage of the passenger.

Later in the month, DHS said it was possible to ban laptops in all flights from Europe. Similarly, as reported by Cnet.

DHS made the ban after intelligence revealed, terrorists are developing an explosive device, which can be hidden in a portable electronic device.
