Nokia 1 is reported to be released in March as part of the Google Android Go program

Announced in May, Google Android Go targets emerging markets and consumers who can barely afford affordable smartphones. Android Go is also targeting areas with low internet network coverage and high mobile data rates. Some companies promise to support Google's program in launching a lighter version of its Android operating system. One of them is HMD Global, the holder of the Nokia brand.

The next Nokia brand smartphone to be launched by the Finnish company is estimated as Nokia 1. This smart phone will be part of the Android Go program, meaning it will be more targeted to the growing market.

Using a lighter version of Android Oreo, Nokia 1 is rumored to support 1GB of RAM and 8GB of storage space. In addition, entry level phones are also armed with 720p screen.

Nokia 1 is expected to address various markets in the world, including Russia, in March 2018 with an offer price of € 80. However, Nokia 1 is not the only Android Go device that will slide next year.

Huawei is also rumored to be developing entry level smartphones at an affordable price. Smartphone will carry a similar specs Nokia 1, although until now, Huawei still keep the information meeting.

 Meanwhile in October, Nokia launched its latest affordable smartphone that is Nokia 2. The device is offered for EUR99 is equipped with 5 inch HD screen and supported Qualcomm Snapdragon processor 212, 1GB RAM and 8GB of storage space.
