Uber and Lyft have blocked the account of right-wing activist Laura Loomer. This
started when Loomer, a well-known commentator who often uploaded
controversial tweets, said that he could not find a non-Muslim Uber or
Lyft rider.
She then made some anti-Muslim tweets to be seen by more than 100,000 followers. This
chirp he made after the incident in New York City, when a former Uber
and Lyft racer, Sayfullo Saipov, allegedly directed his car into the
bike road, killing eight people and injuring dozens of others.
"Why does Uber employ Islamic terrorists?" he wrote in one of his tweets.

Loomer also
wrote that he would take legal action against Uber after a reported
rider named Mohammed allegedly refused to take him to his hotel when he
heard Loomer's talk about the Jewish celebration, Rosh Hashanah.
Both Uber and Lyft confirm that the Loomer account has been closed. Uber said Loomer had broken their rules of use, in which there were rules like "mutual respect".
The company also said that passengers could lose access to Uber if they make "aggressive, sexual, discriminatory or disrespectful comments or movements."

This is not the first time that Uber and Lyft fight against passengers with inappropriate behavior. After
the incident in Chartlottesville, Virginia, USA in August, the two
app-based transport companies said that they would block anyone who
exhibits discriminatory or hateful behavior.
