Well, of the many non-human characters, Roger Jr. is one of the characters in the middle of the spotlight. The boxer's kangaroo character reaps the controversy of the animal lovers community. They urged Roger Jr. to be removed from the roster of the latest Tekken series characters, Tekken 7.
The community deplores, if Roger Jr. is paired with human characters in Tekken 7, it will automatically lead to visual abuse of animals.
"We do not want to see a kangaroo being hit, kicked, tortured in such a way. Maybe for a bear (Panda or Kuma characters) it will not have an impact, considering they are hunting animals, "the community wrote.
The condemnation of the animal lovers community, was also recognized by Tekken 7 producer Katsuhiro Harada. He revealed, the more here complaints are raised more often. It makes it decided to remove Roger Jr from the character roster.
"This can be a big problem. Although they (the animal lovers community) do not play Tekken 7, they do not like the way we bring a kangaroo as a character fighter, "he said as quoted by Ubergizmo.
Tekken 7 will launch for PS4, Xbox One, and PC in June 2017. Bandai Namco as the developer has also released season pass and bonus for preorder.
