Microsoft announces Skype is still optimal on older Android devices

Microsoft announced an update for Skype, making this application more optimally specific to work well on devices that use 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system to Android 5.1 Lollipop.

This new version of Skype comes with a smaller size and less storage space consumption, allowing it to deliver faster performance and better audio and video quality on affordable Android devices.


In addition, Microsoft also promised a lighter version of Skype will offer better performance in various areas with network conditions that are called challenging. Microsoft will start the release of this update in the coming days.

However, the release of this update is considered to take several weeks to be available throughout the region. Therefore, Microsoft asks users to be more patient in waiting for these updates to be available on their devices.

Users who are also members of the Skype Insider Program program can enjoy the benefits offered by this update. Previously, Microsoft announced an Xbox update with 1440p resolution video output support.
