Among all iPhone models, the iPhone 6 is the most popular among many, followed by iPhone 6s and iPhone 5s. Based on Flickr figures, all other cameras used only take 5 of the top 100 cameras. All figures in this study are based on the use of 75 million Flickr users.
The availability of cameras from Apple has continued to grow over the past few years. In 2016 Flickr says Apple is the most popular brand with 47 percent using Apple devices.
In addition to topping the iPhone, this year's Flickr list also shows the impact on smartphone usability in the photography industry in general. This smartphone is said to be the most preferred device with volume upload and Flickr notes
Another development apart from Apple's (iPhone) camera that pulled this year was the use of DSLRs rose to 33 percent from 25 percent last year. With the advancement of cameras, every year by our mobile phone companies become point-and-shoot cameras.
With so many users of iPhone cameras this year, maybe next year will be a full sweep of the top 10. But in 2017 it shows the first year that most Flickr users use the iPhone and the phone generally accounts for half of all the photos uploaded.
