Apple introduced the pre-order feature to order the latest apps and games via the App Store

Apple introduced the pre-order feature to order the latest apps and games via the App Store. This feature allows iPhone and iPad users to order iOS apps within 90 days before the app is released. Within that time frame, users can still cancel the order free of charge.

Apple will also show notifications if the apps that have been ordered can already be downloaded. If there is no response, the system will download the application automatically.  

 

Apple does not charge at all during the pre-order period. Users will only be asked for a fee once the app is installed in the device.

 

Apple even provide the cheapest price if one day the developer raise the price after the application is booked available on the App Store.

 

Apple added that the pre-order feature on the Apps Store can work on devices running iOS 11.2, tvOS 11.2 and MacOS 10.13.2. If a user is using a device with an older version of iOS, this feature will not work. Previously Apple has applied the same concept on the iTunes service for music or movie content.
