Samsung plans to showcase the next generation of the Galaxy S lineup faster than usual, according to someone who knows the company's plans. Samsung will showcase Galaxy S9 and S9 + in the Consumer Electronic Show deployed on in January in Las Vegas. Unfortunately it is still unknown how much information Samsung will provide in the event.

Samsung is still planning to launch its new premium smartphone in March, just like the Galaxy S8 and S8 +.

The range of Galaxy S9 also mentioned will have a similar look to its predecessor but has better specifications.

Having the code name Star 1 and Star 2 with the model number SM-G960 and SM-G965 Galaxy S9 and S9 + will have a Super AMOLED screen of 5.8 inches and 6.2 inches. Both also still have the same Infinity screen as the ranks of Galaxy S8.

Although it is still unknown what processor Samsung will use, they are likely to adopt a processor with 10-nanometer fabrication techniques, which means Snapdragon 845 from Qualcomm and Exynos processors of the same class.

Samsung S9 + will have 6GB of RAM, while the S9 will only have 4GB of RAM. In addition the plus version of the S9 will also have a dual rear camera, similar to the Galaxy Note 8.

Both variants of Galaxy S9 will have 64GB internal memory complete with microSD slot. Samsung reportedly will not remove the audio port. The so-called Samsung will mount the camera vertically on the back and put the fingerprint sensor under the camera.

The South Korean company seems to be listening to protests about the strange location of the fingerprint sensor on Samsung's 3 premium smartphones launched this year.
