
According to reports, LG is testing the use of two prototype robot made, namely Airport Guide Robot and Airport Cleaning Robot which was introduced during the title Consumer Electronic Show (CES) 2017.
Quoted from The Verge, the company set up two types of robots to be placed at the airport of Seoul. Later, both are expected to help visitors coming to South Korea via Seoul airport.
As the name implies, Guide Robot will help visitors at Seoul airport. This robot will provide information about the directions around the airport including boarding time.
This robot can speak in four languages, such as Korean, English, Mandarin, and Japanese. Visitors can also scan their boarding passes to be directed to the scheduled departure gateway.
While Cleaning Robot, is a robot that served to clean up the area around the airport. LG said, this robot can know where the most frequently cleaned and headed there with the most efficient route.
Can not be ascertained, whether LG will soon bring more robots at other airports. But in a statement, the company hopes that such a commercial robot could grow in the future.
