Launches New Smart TV, Sharp Shoots 33,000 Units Sales
Smart TV became one of the most lucrative product categories for electronic players in Indonesia. PT Sharp Electronics Indonesia (SEID) claims, smart TV opportunities are still so large in the Indonesian market and became the target of quite a lot of consumers.

TVs that initially only serve as entertainment from TV station program shows, DVD movies and video game games, are now increasingly becoming a tool for skating in cyberspace and watching the variety of content offered via the internet.

Moreover, large-screen TVs are the choice of urban communities to gain satisfaction in watching and maximizing their television functions.

Looking at these opportunities, SEID adds a new line of televisions with large screen sizes, providing easy access to three apps: browser, YouTube and Netflix with shortcut buttons embedded on the TV remote.

"This is driving the market demand for larger-size TVs," said Shinji Teraoka, President Director of PT SEID, on the sidelines of the launch of Sharp's newest smart TV product, Tuesday (6/6/2017) afternoon in Jakarta.

Meanwhile, Golden Mayanawa Andrean, Product Marketing LED TV PT SEID said, in the ranks of this latest smart TV, Sharp introduced features Smart Smart.

"Easy Smart is an easily accessible entertainment platform that allows users to simply press the YouTube and Netflix shortcut keys specially designed on the remote panel," explains Golden.

The latest Smart Sharp LED TV line from Sharp presents three different sizes. Among other models are LC-40LE380X, LC-50LE380X, LC-60LE380X, LC-50UA440X, and LC-60UA440X.

In the same occasion, Sharp also presented two other models of non-smart TV category is LC-45LE280X with size 45 inches and LC-60LE275X with size 60 inches.

Although the economic condition in Indonesia had decreased, but according to Andrew Gultom, Product Strategy Assistant General Manager of PT SEID, during the last two years the company is still able to optimize its sales.

"We continue to increase market share and successfully prove this increase from 11 percent to 17.5 percent in April 2017," he added.

In this new line of smart TVs, Andrew calls the company targeting sales of 8,000 units for 45 inches, 22,000 units for 50 inches, and 3,000 units for 60 inches by the end of 2017. In total, the company is targeting sales of 33,000 units.
