Welcoming The First Anniversary Event, Overwatch Gives You The Opportunity To Play The Game For Free

Overwatch is one of the latest IP Blizzard Entertainment which can be said to have a very fast success rate. Several awards including the Game of the Year 2016 award won by Jeff Kaplan and his team. 

To date more than 30 million players have become part of the Overwatch community. Blizzard tried hard to make this game feel new in every update, especially the update event that they will soon give.

Welcoming the first anniversary of Overwatch, Blizzard Entertainment announced the Overwatch Anniversary event. This event is also one of the first anniversary celebrations of the Overwatch which falls on May 24th.  

Overwatch Anniversary will start on May 23rd until 12th of June 2017. Just like the previous event, this event will bring back the emote, skin, voice line, and new intro highlight.

While on the other hand, Overwatch team gives video recap some things they have done for a year, ranging from seasonal events, the first Overwatch World Cup, until the new Overwatch Uprising event they held yesterday.


In addition to this, Blizzard announced the Overwatch Game of the Year Edition which will be released digitally for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Game of the Year Edition provides some extra bonuses for you who bought it, along with the Game of the Year Edition bonus:

This free weekend event lets you play Overwatch for free for those of you who do not have the game from 26-29 May 2017 (27-30 May Asia time). If you are interested and buy Overwatch after trying the free weekend, then your account status will be carried away when you buy the game.
