Since Instagram Direct was launched for all users in April, the Instagram developer team has been trying to improve user experience by adding new features and other improvements to pamper users.

Quoted from Phonearena, Instagram Direct now supports sharing photos with landscape and portrait orientation. With this new feature, users can send original images or videos to friends directly from the photo gallery without cutting them again.

Another new feature is the support for links (links) in Direct, which means Instagram users can now share website links with their friends and see it live in conversation. The same is true for phone numbers and addresses.

Support for sharing landscape and portrait photos in Direct is available for iOS devices via Instagram version 10.22. However, Android users have to wait some more time to enjoy the landscape photo feature. While the link sharing feature in Direct Message is available on both platforms.
