The hottest Exoplanet atmosphere in the universe is made of iron and titanium

In 2017, astronomers find exoplanet (the alien planet) in outer space. Exoplanets named WASP-19b has characteristics that are quite unique because it is claimed to be the hottest exoplanets in the universe with a temperature of 2,000 degrees Celsius.

But now, no more exoplanets that turned out hotter than WASP-19b. According to Phy's information on Saturday (18/8/2018), called exoplanets, CELTIC-9b has a hotter temperature, i.e. 4,000 degrees Celsius.

Based on a research astronomer at the University of Geneva (UNIGE) and University of Bern (UNIBE) in Switzerland, the exoplanet is about 650 light years of the star they have named CELTIC-9 with temperatures up to 10,000 degrees Celsius, twice more heat from the Sun.

It has a distance to the CELTIC-9b 30 times closer than the distance of the Sun to the Earth. That is why CELTIC-9b is now crowned as the hottest exoplanets in the universe.

Interestingly, the CELTIC atmosphere-9b is apparently made of titanium and iron. Astronomers managed to identify the material via an exoplanet's atmosphere observations are published in the journal Nature.

The observation is done through device astronomer HARPS spectrograph – North Telescopic Nazionale Galileo Observatory at La Palma.

In their observations, they watched the CELTIC-9 has a small fraction move towards the CELTIC atmosphere-9b.

From there, astronomers analyze the assemble small fractions in a spectrum of white light and showed the character of the materials of titanium and iron.

"The results of the observations indicate that the molecules are found from the CELTIC star-9 formed in Atomic since they are fractionally damaged by temperatures so hot from the stars," said Kevin Heng, astronomer UNIBE.
