Some factories TSMC exposed to virus attacks forcing them to cease operations in the factories

Chip maker Taiwan Semiconductor Company Manufacturing Company (TSMC), closing some factories after the system was attacked by computer viruses. TSMC is the world's largest semiconductor manufacturers. They provide supplies components to companies like AMD, Apple, NVIDIA, and Qualcomm.

They mention, this virus attack  "some tools fabrication " them. However, the rate of infection in each factory.

According to the report The Verge, some factories have again started their operation. However, some of the others can return to operate tomorrow. TSMC said that the factories they were not attacked by hackers.

"TSMC was once attacked by the virus before this, " said CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER Lora Ho.

"But, this is the first time a virus affecting our production lines." Unfortunately, it is not known whether this virus attacks affect the income of TSMC.

This virus attacks happen on time is important for TSMC, given the many technology companies preparing to release new products this fall. In may, TSMC began producing chips A12 from Apple, which allegedly was to be used on the iPhone which was released this year.
