Starbucks, Alibaba announce China delivery venture
Alibaba strengthens its dominance with the retail giant has employed in Starbucks coffee outlets. The two companies announced a partnership on Thursday (2), in which Alibaba will implement its business unit to help bring the mail service between Starbucks coffee to the customers.

"Thanks to the improved customer experience conducted by more than 45,000 of our partners, Starbucks continues to grow and innovate more rapidly in China than anywhere else in the world," said Kevin Johnson, President, and CEO of Starbucks Coffee Company.

On the same occasion, CEO of Alibaba Group Daniel Zhang said Alibaba would like to share the vision of pioneering culture and lifestyle new coffee through innovation and technology.

"Alibaba is very eager to develop the partnership infrastructure by leveraging the Starbucks along with New Retail we are sophisticated and digital power to manifest the experience never felt its customers. This partnership went back into evidence of the success of the New strategy of our Retail, "said Zhang.

Starbucks will start mail service between her in September 2018 to 150 outlets located in Shanghai and Beijing, China. This service is done through the Interfaith message platform leading food in China, Ele.me.

Later, these services will be upgraded and expanded to more than 2,000 Starbucks outlets in 30 cities by the end of this year.

Other partnerships will also be conducted in conjunction with a Supermarket belonging to Alibaba, Hema. There will be built a Kitchen Delivery Starbucks will wear the order fulfillment and delivery services belonging to Hema.
