Following the latest information claiming Samsung will begin production of OLED screens needed for its folding smartphone this summer, the latest reports circulate claim Samsung is also preparing to manufacture folding batteries.

Related to the capacity, there is no definite information related to the size of the capacity of the battery that Samsung will produce. However, Samsung is reported to be producing batteries with capacities between 3,000 mAh to 6,000 mAh.

In addition, given the problems faced previously with new batteries and shapes, Samsung is expected to choose batteries with lower capacity spectrum. When considering the size of the screen when not folded, a capacity below 4,000 mAh rated will result in poor battery life.

Like screen production, Samsung is expected to limit the initial production amount of the new battery. If the process succeeds, Samsung is expected to increase its production speed.

Samsung is also predicted to distribute between 300 thousand to 500 thousand smartphones so Samsung will not be in a hurry to increase production.

Currently, Samsung has not confirmed the details of outstanding information related to folding smartphone work. But the latest reports claim that this device will be officially launched at the 2019 MWC event, following the launch of the Galaxy S10 series in January.

In addition to the price, this device will be marketed for under the US $ 2,000 and is expected to be marketed only in a number of Samsung's main markets namely the United States, Britain, and South Korea.
