Spotify has also rented an office in Dubai showing the seriousness of the world's largest streaming platform.
Not only opened an office in Dubai, Spotify also opens a job by opening two high positions. Namely Senior for the Middle East & Africa and Technical Account Manager for the Middle East & North Africa.
Getting into the Middle East region, of course, Spotify who now has 75 million users will face a tough competition. Known as The middle east region also has a popular streaming music service called Anghami.
Anghami is a Beirut based startup that already has 40 million users. They also have licensing license agreements with all major record labels in Arabic as well as with international labels such as EMI, Universal, Sony, and Warner.
The startup is supported by a number of big names in a number of areas including UAE telecom operators, Middle East Venture Partners, MBC Ventures, Mobility Ventures, Endeavor Catalyst and Samena Capital.
