In an interview with Wall Street Journal, Consumer Electronics Head Samsung Kim Hyun-suk confirmed the matter.
Kim said the company will bring internet connectivity and virtual assistant (Bixby) to all its products by 2020. The goal, according to Kim, to create the ecosystem through SmartThings application.
Kim acknowledged efforts to present artificial intelligence (AI) previously did not work because of lack of cohesion with the products it sends. Samsung does not want to repeat the error and now everything will center on AI.
To note, AI is currently a new keyword that many manufacturers use in its smartphones. The South Korean company is judging, AI is the company's focus in competing against technology companies from China and the United States.
