The case has run since 2015, when Li was prosecuted and arrested. For five years since 2009, Li and his associates Andreina Becerra, Roberto Volpe, Rosario LaMarca have smuggled more than 40,000 products and accessories from China to the US, including iPhone and iPad.
Not only that, they also smuggle labels and other documents containing logos and trademarks of Apple that have been forged.
This operation is a pretty big operation. Li alone made a profit of US $ 1.1 million from the sale of counterfeit goods that the buyer mistook as the original Apple product.

Li is accused of a conspiracy of selling and smuggling counterfeit products to the United States. The penalty will be announced on May 30th. LaMarca, a member of this conspiracy, received his sentence in July last year. He was sentenced to 37 months in prison.
