How to save battery on iphone to be more durable

Battery Percentage iPhone
Apple is always increasing battery life on the iPhone. Even the latest that the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus is claimed to have the longest battery life.

But other story for you old iPhone user type. Many have complained that their iPhone batteries are running out. Therefore, in this article I will show you some ways to save battery on iOS 10, good for iPhone 7, iPhone 6, iPhone 5, or iPad.

1. Do not bother stopping the application

Let's start by eliminating the battery-saving myth. iPhone users tend to stop applications when not in use.

This is indeed logical thinking, so the application does not suck the battery from the background. By double-clicking the home button and scrolling up on the app you want to close.

But it turns out this way is less precise. When you close the app, it will free up RAM. That is, when you open the app again, the iPhone must load back into memory.

Apple itself has confirmed that closing the app will have no impact on battery life. Our fear that the app will drain battery life, even when we do not use it, it's not fundamental.

2. Remove wasteful battery applications

On iOS 10, 9, and 8, you can see a list of the most wasteful apps on Battery Usage. How to go to Settings> General> Battery and scroll down to see which apps suck the most battery in the last 24 hours or last 7 days.

If you find apps that are not so important or rarely used in the list, then you can remove them and search for apps with similar functions that are more battery-friendly.

3. Remove Facebook app

Battery life problems are also exacerbated by the presence of wasteful battery applications, one of which is up. It's no secret that the official Facebook app for Android and iOS is known to be wasteful of batteries.

Facebook itself has acknowledged that its app on iOS uses a lot of resources in the background. Deleting a Facebook app can save your iPhone battery by up to 15 percent. Instead, you can still access the Facebook site through the Safari browser.

4. Disable Spotlight

Spotlight on iOS continues to work in the background, indexing the data so you can easily get what you want.

That's good, but not when you again want to save battery. You can disable it in Settings> General> Spotlight Search, you can turn off some or all categories.

5. Turn off Raise to Wake

Raise to Wake is one of the new features in iOS 10. This feature allows the iPhone to turn on automatically when lifted. So you do not have to press any button.

The result, this will make it easier when we want to see the clock or notification on the screen. The devices that support Raise to Wake is the iPhone 6S, iPhone 6S Plus, iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus.

Unfortunately, this feature is more often wake your iPhone, consequently increased battery consumption. Therefore, disabling Raise to Wake will help you conserve iPhone battery life. To turn it off, open the Settings> Display & Brightness app> scroll down to see the Raise to Wake option> slide the button to the right.

6. Turn off apps running in the background

How to save your next iPhone battery is to disable some less important apps that run in the background.

The more apps that get access to the Background App Refresh feature, the higher the app consumes your battery. To disable it, go to Settings> General> Background App Refresh and select the app that it deems less important.

7. Shorten Auto-Lock

Auto-Lock is very potential to save iPhone battery. If the battery is everything for you, then I suggest select the shortest time of 30 seconds. So, when the iPhone is out of activity, it will instantly standby and lock itself.

However, for normal day-to-day use, it is more convenient to use 2 minutes. You just adjust it with the condition. How to set it go to Settings> General> Auto-Lock.
