According to documents appearing on the FCC website, the Sony mobile phone code number PY7-21831A uses a Type-C USB port for audio and charging functions. So this device is not equipped with 3.5mm jack.
The FCC also mentioned that Sony's new handset comes with a height dimension of 152.79 mm and a width of 72.42 mm, and features a 5.7 inch screen. This means the device is smaller than the Xperia XZ Premium.
In addition, the phone screen is also reportedly surrounded by a thinner-sized bezel, because Xperia XZ Premium carrying a smaller screen that is 5.5 inches.
Sony's new smartphone is a GSM LTE phone with support for all 3G and LTE bands AT & T and T-Mobile mobile operators, so it is expected to launch in the United States.
Previously, Sony has announced three new devices for this year, namely XPeria XA2, Xperia XA2 Ultra, and Xperia L2, but has not announced the latest high-end models. Thus, the 5.7 inch sailing device on FCC documents is estimated as the latest high-end Xperia device.
