LG CEO confirmed earlier this year in the event Consumers Electronics Show (CES) 2018 ago, that the development of the G7 will start from an early stage. This is the main reason the smartphone will not be announced in February.
Recently LG gave confirmation to Android Central, that G7 is on the right track related to its release. LG also mentioned that more detailed information related to the launch time will be revealed at the right time.

Denied related delays, LG is still committed to presenting two of its leading smartphone per year. However, the implementation of the decision to change the naming of the G series flagship device still takes time to be proven.
