Opera Software ASA will be rebrand to Otello Corporation for a business deal

If you're a lightweight Opera browser user since the 2G mobile phone, it will not be long before the browser name will change, including the typical logo of the circle colored in red. This move is a continuation of purchasing most of Opera's shares and brands by Chinese browser and application companies.

Otello Corporation's offer value received by Opera Software ASA amounts to US $ 600 million. However, the name change is likely to occur only to the parent company.

"The change of name is part of the business deal Otello Corporation has bought the brand 'Opera' as well as its logo. However, we can be sure that our internet browser will still be called by the name Opera and continue to operate, "beber Opera Software ASA CEO Lars Boilesen.

Otello Corporation alone will separate the business division of the internet browser with software and technology developed by Opera. Opera's Internet browser will still be managed by different business divisions.

"Opera Software ASA has an ad company called Adcolony and another application named Bemobi, both companies that will enter the company renamed Otello Corporation," said Communications Manager at US Software Opera Alejandro Viquez.

Bemobi itself is an application and advertising store service focused on Brazil. Bemobi also has a marketplace service for promotions or discounts that make its services suitable for the advertising business.

Arguably this is one of the many technology companies in China to grow globally outside of the country.
