Android Oreo (Go Edition) is officially released for low specification phones.

In the Google I / O 2017 event that was held last May, Google introduced "Android Go" as a configuration of the Android operating system 8.0 Oreo. Android Go is designed for low-specification smartphones at low prices.  

Now at the end of 2017 Google officially launches Android Go to coincide with the finalization of Android Oreo 8.1. The smartphone vendors are able to channel Android Go to low-end devices and Android Oreo 8.1 to their high-end devices.

Smartphone specifications that fit the Android OS Go according to Google is a smartphone that has 1 GB of RAM or less, limited memory, connectivity is not qualified, and CPU improvise.

Android Go is expected to answer the needs of the community termed "Next Billion Users", ie those who have not been exposed to cyberspace at all.

Google wants Android Go to help develop the ecosystem of cheap smartphones but qualified. Thus the growth of online society will be higher.

There are several default apps listed on Android Go, including Google Go, Google Maps Go, Gmail Go, YouTube Go, Google Assistant Go, Files Go, Gboard, Chrome and Play. Everything is a standard application that is familiar to Android users, but in a more efficient version of memory.

Google Go which is a light version of the Search app only takes 4.65 MB of memory. The capacity is much lower than the standard Search that earned 60 MB.

Device availability with Android Go promised the next few months. The Go Android apps will soon be available in Play Store soon.
