Apple HomePod intelligent speaker assembler company Inventec Appliances predicts that features with 3D sensed cameras will be available on smart speakers in the future. President Inventec Appliances, David Ho said, the feature will utilize facial recognition technology and images. This will enable the product to offer a more convenient and easier use experience.

David Ho also said that he is not convinced that intelligent speakers with artificial intelligence technology support (AI) will get a good reception from consumers, marked by high demand.

Not naming Apple HomePod, David Ho mentions that Inventec Appliances also produces intelligent speakers with support for voice command technology by the end of 2017. Smart speakers are referred to David Ho is estimated as Apple's product.


Apple is expected to launch its new product next month at a price of US $ 349. Ho also confirmed that his company produces intelligent speakers for more than one client.

David Ho also mentioned that a number of units are ready to be distributed in the middle of 2018. According to Fubon Securities analyst Arthur Lio, supply chain data indicates that Apple will produce four million HomePod units by 2018.


However, Lio is not convinced that market demand will amount to the number of units that Apple is preparing. In addition, Lio also predicts that Apple will distribute as many as 20 million AirPods in 2017, and increase 50 percent to 30 million units next year, which is also assembled by Inventec Appliances.
