Foxconn losses due to iPhone X

Foxconn company
Foxconn is the only manufacturer trusted by Apple to assemble the iPhone. Unfortunately, the company based in China is actually losing due to iPhone X. The process of manufacturing iPhone X is quite difficult and the availability of components that are somewhat late make Foxconn profit decreased from the previous quarter. Even Bloomberg data mentions the loss this time is the worst since 2008.

Foxconn's profit declined by 39 percent in the third quarter of this year, to $ 700 million from $ 1.09 billion in the third quarter of last year. The impact is quite significant considering that more than half of Foxconn's business depends on Apple.

Foxconn parties complained about the lack of available OLED display components available. This is caused by the implementation of Face ID technology on the component that still takes time in the process.

The result is heard Apple's plan to only send half of the target plan pengriman iPhone X unit. So there are only about 20 million units of iPhone X will be sent, and this will make the iPhone X as sold in limited.

Foxconn also gave word that as a result they also have to increase operating costs around 16 percent in this quarter. iPhone 8 and 8 Plus are more easily assembled it is less good sales.
