According to the charges, the CEO of Corephotonics, David Mendlovic has invited Apple to work together.
Apple praised the technology created by the startup even though ultimately refused to use its licenses, Corephotonics said, even mentioning that they could infringe on the patent without fearing the consequences.
In a document the Corephonics demand writes, "Apple's main representative underestimates the patent of Corephotonics, telling Dr. Mendlovic and the people that even if Apple infringed the patent, it would take years and millions of dollars before Apple was forced to pay."
An Apple spokeswoman declined to answer when asked to comment. Many premium smartphones use a two camera system that can zoom in without reducing the sharpness of the image. Apple also has their own technology patent related two camera technology.
Through funding in January, Corephotonics managed to get $ 15 million from various investors, including from Samsung Ventures, Foxconn manufacturing and MediaTek processor maker company.
Foxconn is one of Apple's contract manufacturing. While Apple considers MediaTek as a processor supplier.
