Both Sony smartphones will already be equipped with Motion Eye camera system made by Sony is the first time in XZ Premium. Unfortunately, there is no stabilization feature to take pictures. XZ1 is equipped with a 13MP front camera while the XZ1 Compact has an 8MP front camera with super wide angle lens.
One of the new features of XZ1 is the 3D scanning mode. The camera phone can scan an object and save it as a 3D image, which can then be sent to a 3D printer or shared. Sony plans to integrate this feature with the game so that users can scan their heads and use the image as an avatar. However, this cooperation has not been completed yet.
XZ1 has a 1080p HDR screen of 5.2 inches while the Compact has a 720p screen with a smaller size, 4.6 inches. Both are coated with Gorilla Glass 5 and have IP68 certification, which means it can be put in water to a depth of 1.5 meters for a maximum of 30 minutes.
