Given the price of premium mobile phones that reach a dozen million, not strange if consumers want to get the latest technology in the device. However, it seems that Pixel 2 will still use Snapdragon 835.
Before this, rumored, Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL will use Snapdragon 836 processor. The processor mentioned will provide a slight increase in performance when compared with Snapdragon 835.
Premium processors used in most premium smartphones this year, including Samsung Galaxy S8, Moto Z2 Force, LG V30 and Galaxy Note 8.
But Qualcomm will not launch Snapdragon 836. The next premium processor from Qualcomm is not Snapdragon 836, although there are rumors that the system-on-chip will be used in the second generation Pixel.
Pixel, whose manufacturing process is rumored to be handled by HTC and LG, will still use Snapdragon 835.
This rumor is also supported by documents at the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) which states that the phone will use the processor used on most premium smartphones.
Indeed before this Qualcomm has launched 2 premium SoC in one year. For example when they launched Snapdragon 820 and 821 and Snapdragon 800 and 801.
However, Qualcomm does not always do this, as when they just launched Snapdragon 810. However, this rumor does not guarantee that Qualcomm will not launch a new premium processor this year.
