The latest Android operating system was announced under the name Oreo, not Orellete like the last rumor circulating before its official launch.
Android Oreo is claimed to be serving a faster, smarter, and more powerful usage experience when compared to previous versions.
Android Oreo also features a picture-in-picture (PIP) and Autofill feature, which is also available on the latest Developer Preview version.
The operating system also comes with a new notification point, will allow users to see new things on the app and decide what action to take.
In addition Android Oreo is also equipped with a series of emoji design changes overall, including no less than 60 new emoji.
Google also emphasizes the need for extra security, so Android Oreo will come with a feature called Google Play Protect, claimed to be able to help this operating system more secure.
Improvements are also present in battery usage, as Android Oreo is intended to reduce unwanted excessive battery usage from background-friendly apps.
Google called rolling the Android Oreo source to Android Open Source Project (AOSP) for all consumers.
Android Oreo versions for Pixel devices, Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P are in the process of testing by mobile operators and are expected to be released in a row, along with Android Oreo versions of Pixel C and Nexus Player.
Users of devices that have become members of the Android Beta Program and using the Developer Preview version released by Google will also get the final version update of Google's latest mobile operating system.
Google also announced that by the end of this year, a number of smartphones from manufacturers such as HMD Global, Huawei, HTC, Kyocera, Essential, LG, Motorola, Samsung, Sharp and Sony will also receive the Android 8.0 Oreo update.
