Louis Vuitton Released Android Smart Watch, Sold US $ 2,450

Luxurious fashion manufacturer Louis Vuitton now plunge into the world of the Internet of Things (IoT). The first device is an Android Wear 2.0-based smart watch named Tambour Horizon Connected Watch with a price tag of US $ 2,450.

So what are these Tambour Horizon Connected Watch watch capabilities?

As quoted from The Next Web, smart watches Louis Vuitton is actually mediocre, not many interesting features embedded in it.


Standard specification, Tambour Horizon Connected Watch equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 2100 chipset, 4 GB of internal storage memory, 512 MB RAM, and AMOLED screen (390 x 390 pixels). In fact, there is no heart rate scanner sensor in it.

The uniqueness of the Louis Vuitton smart watch is only in the Vuitton City Guide application which contains various information about the journey and my Flight that displays flight information of its users.

Other apps are just the familiar features of Android smart watches, such as the ability to change display themes, connect with smartphones, and show incoming messages.


Louis Vuitton does not just make smart watches like this. This well-known fashion company also already has plans to create other things that can connect to the internet or IoT, for example in the form of shoes, various types of footwear, and ready-made clothing.

"IoT currently really looks will grow big. You could just sit on the edge and see the trend move, or go in and try to influence the movement of the trend. We will join in, "said Louis Vuitton CEO Michael Burke.

Just to note, Louis Vuitton is not the first luxury fashion manufacturer who plunged into the world of smart watches. Previously there was Tag Heuer who released a smart watch called Connected, with a price tag of US $ 3,000.
