Some new Blizzard game titles like World of Warcraft, StarCraft II, Heroes of the Storm, Hearthstone, and Diablo III can not be played either in Windows XP or Vista.
The decision was announced by Community Manager Blizzard, Nate Valenta through a forum on his official website. While the time to stop Blizzard support is still unknown. Nate just revealed that it will happen in October 2017.
"Microsoft has discontinued support for that version of Windows respectively in 2009 and 2012. But since our players are still using it at the time, we continue to support it, but now there have been three Windows since Vista was released. Some of our users have updated to One of them, "he said.
Nate also appealed to players who are still using Windows XP and Vista to make software updates to the latest version if they still want to play Blizzard output game.
"The game will not run on this old operating system after they are no longer supported, so we encourage every player who still uses one of the old OS to upgrade to a newer version," he added.
The plan Blizzard will release the rules gradually. They promised to provide more information as they approached closing time for support. So quoted from Slashgear.
