Google Make Sure Stop Supporting Nexus and Pixel Smartphones
Google has announced plans to stop providing support on Nexus and Pixel devices. The termination will begin in 2018.

After Google discontinues its support, Nexus and Pixel device users will no longer be able to get help online or by phone.

In addition, Nexus and Pixel also no longer get a supply of software and security updates altogether. There are at least some series that will stop getting support, namely Nexus 5X, 6, 6P, 9, and Pixel and Pixel XL.


As reported by from Engadget, the termination of support is already prevalent. At the launch of Nexus and Pixel itself, Google has said it will continue to provide software support, online help and telephone services for at least two years.

The promise is kept by Google. Nexus 5X made by LG and Nexus 6P made by Huawei will no longer be supported after September 2018.

Nexus 6 and 9, which are older, are not getting software updates but still can.

While Pixel and Pixel XL, launched in 2016, can still get Android software updates until October 2018. But after that date, Pixel and Pixel XL will only get security updates.

The security update for Pixel and Pixel XL will be discontinued in October 2019, along with the discontinuation of online and telephone support services.
