Apple CEO: US Women Need to Master the Technology Industry

Apple CEO, Tim Cook, assessing the United States (US) requires the woman if you still want to lead the technology industry. It is delivered to Cook in an interview with the newspaper of his alma mater, Auburn Plainsman.

Cook admitted that more men than women who majored in science, technology, engineering, and math or so-called STEM. But if it does not change, the future of the US in the tech industry will be at stake.

"I think the US will lose its leadership in technology if this does not change," Cook said, as reported by CNET.

He emphasized the importance of the role of women in employment. "If the number of women remains low in the STEM fields, we will lack the innovation in the US. In fact as simple as that," added Cook.


Furthermore, who was born 56 years ago also stresses the importance of diversity. He believes that diversity can contribute to increase the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and the quality of the product.



If there are people who are hard to accept about this diversity, Cook asked them at least could see it as a human being. Not in terms of gender, skin color or nationality, different.


"If someone insists that diversity is not important, I encourage them to better understand. I'm very confident if they do, they will realize that it (diversity) is very important," said Cook.
