Not Wear Snapdragon, Mi 5c to Be Supported Chipset Owned Xiaomi

Since last year, rumored to be presenting smartphone Xiaomi Mi 5C. Now, reports are techdach.com Gizmochina quotation mention that the Chinese company would not use Snapdragon chip, MediaTek, Exynos, and Kirin.

Xiaomi will reportedly pinned chipset which was launched independently at Mi 5c. The chipset is named Pinecone. Pinecone is arable Xiaomi with Beijing Electronics Co. Ltd and Leadcore Technology Ltd, a subsidiary of
comeTelecom.

This cooperation started in 2014 and formed Beijing Pinecone Electronics Co. Ltd, a chip manufacturing company. Xiaomi has a 51 percent stake. Meanwhile, Leadcore own shares representing 49 per cent.

Pinecone is actually not the first
come chip companies such partnerships. Previously, the chip company from China that also refine L1860C Leadcore chip embedded on Xiaomi Redmi 2A.

Gizmochina also mentioned, Pinecone chipset which will be embedded in Mi 5c have an octa-core CPU with Cortex-A53 cores. Reportedly, this chipset is equivalent to chip Qualcomm Snapdragon 808
come.

Based on information circulating in China, there are two models of processors Xiaomi Pinecone who entered this market in 2017. The first is the V670 and V970.


Mi 5c will be pinned Pinecone V670 which uses four large Cortex A-53 cores and four Cortex A-53 small cores. Its GPU consists of Mali-T860 MP4 GPU with a clock speed of 800Mhz. The V670 also
come the 28nm manufacturing process.

While chip Pinecone V970 will be available in the fourth quarter of 2017. Compared V670, V970 models chip comes with four core Cortex A-73 and four-core Cortex A-53 octa-core. V970 is also equipped with MP12 G71 Mali GPU clock speed of 900MHz.


Like the Snapdragon 835, an unnamed source said Pinecone V970 will be produced using 10nm manufacturing process. Reportedly, Pinecone V970 will be pinned on the Xiaomi Mi-6 and Mi Note 3.
