Surface Laptop claimed by Microsoft as the "killer" MacBook Air, because it claimed to be thinner, lighter, and faster performance. What kind of specs this laptop?
Surface Laptop is a laptop device with 13.5-inch screen size that carries the advantages of Surface Pro 4, but carrying the form of clamshell (folding), rather than the removable 2-in-1 appliance.
Surface screen size 13.5-inch laptops carry PixelSense touch screen technology with 3: 2 ratio.
This laptop also has a thickness of 14.5 mm with a weight of 1.25 kg. Surface Laptop also carries USB-A port, mini DisplayPort, headphone socket, and Microsoft power connector that enables it to connect with Surface accessories.
"This is the thinnest LCD touch screen ever installed on a laptop," said Head of Microsoft Device, Panos Panay as quoted from the Verge. The Surface Laptop screen also supports Pen Pen digital pens.
Panay also claims the Surface Laptop is thinner and lighter than a MacBook Air or MacBook Pro laptop that is currently circulating in the market.
Microsoft also claims Surface Laptop is faster than MacBook Pro that carries Core i7 processor. Laptop Surface brings Intel Core i5 and i7 processors in Surface Laptop and claims the battery can last for 14.5 hours.
Surface Laptops sell from $ 974 for Core i5 versions with 4 GB RAM and 128 GB SSD storage. This laptop goes on sale on June 15, 2017.
